About
Hi, I’m Palmar!
I’m an actor, writer, film producer, and retired sex worker.
I started doing sex work in 2014, shortly after moving to NYC, when I needed a survival job while chasing my acting dreams. Since then, I’ve graduated from the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts and gone on to write, star in, and produce several short films — including SUGAR, a pilot for a series inspired by the behind-the-scenes world of the strip club where I worked and I’m Sorry About Your Marriage, about a stand up comedian struggling with a divorce.
Sex work is what first pushed me to start producing my own stories. I was tired of the way we were portrayed on screen — and thanks to the financial independence sex work gave me, I didn’t have to wait for anyone’s permission to change that. It funded most of my early projects — and quickly.
After years of doing it all on my own, I finally started rolling with the big dogs. I recently became a producer on Julia Fox’s upcoming film Perfect, grew a TikTok following by sharing honest reflections on sex work and creativity, and caught the attention of Cosmopolitan, where I published an article about how a trip to a sex castle in the Hamptons changed the course of my life.
Lately, I’ve also been producing live theater — because deep down, I’ll always be a musical theater girl chasing her childhood dream.
